Regional Sales Representative -Southern CA

Join a fast growing and leading company in landscape and artificial turf where you will work alongside the best in-class performers in a rewarding environment.  In this role you will actively seek out and engage customer prospects and architects/engineers to sell synthetic turf athletic fields to colleges, high schools, municipalities and private owners in the geographical region.

Essential Duties:

  • Present, promote and sell products/services using solid arguments to existing and prospective customers
  • Perform cost-benefit and needs analysis of existing/potential customers to meet their needs
  • Establish, develop and maintain positive business and customer relationships
  • Reach out to customer leads through cold calling
  • Expedite the resolution of customer problems and complaints to maximize satisfaction
  • Achieve agreed upon sales targets and outcomes within schedule
  • Coordinate sales effort with team members and other departments
  • Analyze the territory/market’s potential, track sales and status reports
  • Supply management with reports on customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities, and potential for new products and services.
  • Keep abreast of best practices and promotional trends
  • Continuously improve sales performance through feedback

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of related sales experience
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience selling turf or related industry
  • Proficient ability to build productive business professional relationships
  • Highly motivated and target driven with a proven track record in sales
  • Excellent selling, communication and negotiation skills
  • Strong organizational and planning skills
  • Ability to multi-task and work efficiently under pressure with careful attention to detail
  • Possess exceptional leadership skills
  • Willing to take direction if and when needed, but also work independently
  • Ability to create and deliver presentations tailored to the audience needs
  • Able to respond positively to customer and peer criticism and feedback
  • Able to effectively manage relationships, both internally and externally
  • Display a dependable, strong work ethic
  • Able to work in a fast-paced, professional office environment

 Travel Requirements:

  • Frequent intra- and/or inter-state travel required, sometimes requiring an overnight stay

  • Prolonged sitting and/or standing
  • Ability to competently utilize office equipment such as computers, printers, and telephones
  • Possess reliable means of transportation and, if applicable, a valid driver’s license
