They are seeking a well-rounded technical individual to help with the development, support and enhancement of their new and current browser-based products and services.

Environment:

  • Our development process is as Agile as it gets.  We release every month, sometimes sooner.
  • 40% of our code base is C#, ASP.NET Web Services layer.
  • 40% of our code base, the client layer is written in pure JavaScript utilizing our own framework.  So you need to comfortable in a JavaScript environment.
  • The remaining 20% is a mix of  XML, XSL and SQL Scripts, Stored Procedures and various home grown C# services, tools and utilities.
  • Our data layer is Microsoft SQL Server.  Our code does lots of work with our data so you need to be comfortable with CTE’s, Left Outer joins and Indexes.
  • You will enjoy working with other developer and project managers.  We work together closely so we need a good team fit.  Good chemistry with the team is an absolute requirement.
  • We scored 10 out of 12 on the Joel test.
  • We use XML, XSL and XPath frequently to manipulate our data, so angle brackets shouldn’t scare you.
  • We are looking for people who have a strong desire to build great software, with a technical role focus.

Skills and Requirements:

  • C# development experience.
  • JavaScript development experience.
  • Fluent in Web Services, XML, XSL, Path, T-SQL, SQL Server
  • A solid understanding of SQL Server Stored Procedures/DB design, index tuning.
  • Comfortable with object oriented design principles and patterns.
  • Very team oriented, sharing knowledge, accepting input and working together to achieve the best overall result.
  • Constantly looking for opportunities to work smarter and streamline processes.
  • Experience with the following a plus; unit testing, agile development, mobile development, or HTML 5 and cross browser .
