Build & Release Engineer/System Admin. – Remote (Minneapolis/St. Paul or San Antonio areas preferred)

Job description:

As a Build and Release Engineer you will be responsible for software configuration management (SCM) of web based, enterprise class software. You will maintain continuous integration servers and repositories in support of Development, Quality Assurance, Sales and Implementation teams. As a result, you will be responsible for automating the deployment and migration of custom applications for multiple cloud-based environments.

You will be joining a highly experienced and skilled development team. These individuals have significant healthcare industry experience specializing in software engineering, systems architecture, interoperability, standards compliance, cloud-computing, big data, and more.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain Subversion, Hudson, Nexus servers
  • Maintain integration, QA, staging, demo, training and production environments
  • Migrate data when upgrades are deployed (light DBA work)
  • Create and maintain scripts for automating common activities
  • Troubleshoot and resolve problems
  • Document build/release plans and procedures

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, or equivalent experience required.
  • 5+ years experience in enterprise software development
  • Working knowledge of Linux/Unix and Windows
  • Familiarity with MySQL
  • Understanding of software development lifecycle
  • Proficiency with various scripting languages
  • Comfortable with Enterprise Java
  • Experience with Amazon Web Services
  • Experience with tools such as Hudson, Maven and Nexus
  • Excellent communication skills
