Director of Sales, Managed Care – U.S.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

Includes the following and other duties as assigned:

  • Increase sales by opening new accounts as well as maximizing revenue from existing clients
  • Consistently meet quarterly sales targets
  • Provide effective sales presentations
  • Create an efficient schedule to ensure effective prospecting and time in the field to build a robust pipeline
  • Utilize available sales and marketing tools for presentations, sales calls, and prospecting
  • Maintain and report key activities and forecasting in Salesforce.com
  • Adhere to the sales process and master the use of established best practices
  • Attend all company sales meetings
  • Evaluate market trends and provide analysis and recommendations to management
  • Develop and sustain strong client relationships by delivering superior service and capturing marketing and sales opportunities through regular partner contact and delivering value added services
  • Develop a strong network of relationships within the local market in order to leverage appropriate market influencers and provide expertise to the local industry
  • Promote the company’s full range of offerings
  • Work collaboratively with Account Management Representatives to apprise them of developments and respond to their requests as appropriate
  • Other reasonable duties, as assigned

Qualifications

The successful applicant will have the following minimum qualification requirements:

  • Eight years of proven sales track record
  • Demonstrated success as a sales professional within the healthcare industry
  • Knowledge of Medicaid, Medicare, and commercial payors and disease management organizations
  • Experience selling into C-Suite within MCOs / Health Systems
  • Experience at selling based on value as opposed to features, functions, and price
  • Consultative selling and experience selling in complex sales environments
  • Ambitious, career-driven “Self Starter” able to work independently from a home office
  • Must have strong facilitation, presentation, and consultative closing skills
  • Outstanding business acumen, project management, and written/verbal communications skills
  • Travel up to 35-50%, with ability to travel to client locations as necessary
  • Bachelor’s degree required

An ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

  • Experience with a rapidly growing startup organization or entrepreneurial department
  • Existing network of contacts at decision-maker level at Medicaid plans and state agencies
  • SaaS or ASP company experience
  • Knowledge of healthcare quality measures (e.g. HEDIS, Star, etc.)
  • Understanding of the challenges associated with patient scheduling and care coordination/compliance
  • Strong Salesforce.com experience preferred
